Dr. Robert V. V. Hurst grew up in Indiana and went to both Indiana University and Harvard. He received his dental degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry and a postdoctoral certificate in orthodontics from Harvard.
He has been on the dental school staff of both Tufts University and Louisiana State University . He has been in the private practice of orthodontics for over 35 years in Covington, Louisiana. It was during his practice that he decided to study the birth order of his patients and their behavior patterns.
